GEOG3600 and learning objectives for UofU General Education Courses. GEOG3600- Geography of Utah meets a undergraduate General Education Requirement for explorations of social and behavioral sciences. General Education courses should promote "essential learning outcomes." Specifically, GEOG3600 attempts to further the objectives of UofU general education courses in the following categories: Critical thinking, ; Inquiry and Analysis; Lifelong Learning Skills ; and Exploration of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The evaluation of Atlas for Schools projects (in part) will be based on rubrics designed by the UofU Center for Learning and Teaching Excellence http://www.ugs.utah.edu/?&pageId=3536 . As an example, follow the link to the Uof U draft rubric to evaluate critical thinking.
