TO REGISTER for 2011 SUMMER

WORKSHOPS
THERE ARE THREE OPTIONS,
choose the one that best fits your needs (details for each are below):
OPTION
ONE—take a class for CACTUS credit only (great for lane change or relicensure). Sign up using OnTrack. http://schools.utah.gov , your login is first.lastname
and password is your CACTUS number.
Under the professional learning tab, search for the word “Earth” to find
all the options. Remember, you attend the class each of the 5
days either in the am or pm, not both (you may mix and match am/pm to best fit
your schedule).
OPTION TW0-Take
all 3 classes to earn 3 university credits + fulfill USOE Endorsement
Requirement (1 semester of geology). Sign up using OnTrack,
then register with WSU for credit ($40 recording fee). See Option 1 on how to register using OnTrack. To register
with WSU http://departments.weber.edu/ce/default.asp
Select TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT from the purple
column on the left.
Scroll thru the list of courses to find:
MED 6630 -- Earth Science for Elementary Teachers, or
MED 6691 -- Earth Science for Secondary Teachers: Geology
*choose the course based on whether you are either an
elementary or a secondary teacher
OPTION
THREE-take a class for 1 SUU credit (this option is NOT eligible for
Endorsement credit, but is great for lane change or relicensure)-sign up using PLAN. http://plan.truenorthlogic.com If you do not know
