How to use a hand lens . . .
First open the hand lens and hold the metal cover between your thumb and index finger.
Next bring the hand lens to eye level resting the knuckle of your thumb on your cheek.
Finally move the object you are observing closer and further away until it comes into focus.
Tip: Do not move the hand lens to focus the object. Move the object!
