WELCOME TO EARTH SCIENCE EDUCATION

Earth Science Education, a non-profit 501-c3 organization, is specifically for teachers! By teachers, we mean formal K12 teachers and informal teachers from scout leaders through grandparents. Would you like to share the joys of Utah’s Earth science with others? If so, this site is for you. We’ll help you to connect the science you teach to the Earth science that surrounds your students.

This site has a wide variety of resources for teachers; from traditional texts to new K-12 science framework 3-D teaching maps, a large audio collection, and county specific information. All of these resources are intended to give YOU confidence and competence, to go outside and turn students on to science!

Go outside! This site provides diverse pathways for teachers, parents, scout leaders, and anyone interested in learning more about earth science to gain confidence and competence teaching concepts outside. Earth Science Education specializes in making your playground your outdoor classroom for the new K-12 Science Framework.

Share the JOY of science! Give the gift of a Sense of Place! Go outside!

OUTSIDE IS WHERE IT’S AT

Earth Science Education goes beyond concepts of geology and geography of Utah places… it conveys a sense of place for teachers to share with students, and parents to share with those they love.

“Kids who are placeless, just don’t do as well as those who have a sense of place.” – Patricia Pignanelli, former principal.
